Lost River Cabin

A 1,300 square foot two bedroom cabin built in a heavily wooded deep valley in the eastern foothills of the North Cascades. The cabin was designed to capture both the northern view and southern winter sunlight. The form consists of a simple shed divided into two solid masses with a glass enclosed central section. The solid forms contain the more private areas of the cabin while the center portion holds the living kitchen and dining spaces in one open space. A detached carport houses a screened sleeping porch for bug free camping.
